If you have questions regarding ordering, please contact Liz Kenny (708) 308-1501 or Michelle Ferjak (312) 493-4978.  Also, if you would like to have your certificates sent home with your child, please complete a waiver form. If we do not have a waiver on file, your order will be held for pick-up in the school office. If you do not order online, please make sure you are using a current order form so that you have a current list of vendors with their current denominations and discount amounts. 

Please check your orders when you receive them and let me know ASAP if there is any problem.  The quicker I know about a problem, the easier it is for me to correct it.

About partnering

The Tuition Reduction Program (TRP) through Shop with Scrip is a list of vendors that offer gift certificates for purchase with a discount given back to the school. There are hundreds of vendors participating in the program.

This program is the only option available all year to school families to earn credit toward their commitment obligation/tuition. Families earn 80% of the profit received from each vendor. Friends and family members can also order, with the credit given to the school family. It takes a little planning, but once you start ordering, you'll see how easy it is to use. It's just as easy to write the check to the school and go shopping with the certificates. It's like receiving a rebate on every purchase made! There is no minimum needed to place an order. Here's how it works.

Orders are due Monday mornings by 9:00 am when school is in session, Tuesday mornings when school is closed on Mondays. Simply fill out an order form indicating what you would like to purchase, enclose cash or a check payable to St. Barbara School, and send it in through the school office in an envelope marked "Certificate Order." Your order is processed and is available for pick-up on Thursday morning. You have the choice of having them held for you to personally pick up or have them sent home with a student, however a waiver must be signed for this option. An inventory of the most used certificates are available for purchase outside regular ordering times. Purchasing certificates from the inventory should not replace ordering certificates on a weekly basis. If you happen to forget to place an order or didn't order enough, then this is a great way to get what you need. The inventory will be sold on a first-come basis, so placing an order on a weekly basis is still the best way to make sure you get what you want. Additional vendors will be added to the inventory if the demand is there. Vendors that are currently kept in inventory can be found under TRP Certificates.

The amount you earn adds up faster than you think. Instead of going to Jewel or Dominicks (with a return of 4% each) and writing a check at the register, write the check to St. Barbara and purchase certificates. If you spend at least $500.00 per month on groceries September through March, that's $140.00 off your commitment obligation/tuition! We all buy groceries; why not receive some money back at the same time!

Thinking of doing some painting? Home Depot is available. Does your son or daughter enjoy going to the movies with their friends? Give them an AMC Theater card to take with rather than cash. Do you enjoy eating at any of the restaurants on the list? Purchase the certificates ahead of time and your meal is paid for! Purchase CVS or Walgreens to pay for prescriptions and medicine. There's something on the list for everyone, just take a look!

Statements are sent out in April showing each family what they earned from the program. Credit for any orders placed after April 1st are held over for the next school year. Graduating families can continue to order and have their credits given to a specific family or have it placed in the general school account.

Parishioners are also welcome to order. Any profit from a parishioner order can be designated to a specific school family or go directly to the general school account.
